Susan (Susie) Carr, PFD, AIFDSusie began her career in the floral industry following graduation from Trim Intl. Floral School, in 1988. While working as a designer, she won numerous design competitions in the Denver area including the Carick Cup. In 1996, Susie returned to Trim Intl. as an instructor, and later became the Director of the Denver School. In 1999, she was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) and has been a guest designer for Greenleaf Wholesale, Albuquerque and Phoenix, and Denver Wholesale Florist, Denver. Today she continues to attend AIFD symposiums and advanced floral design workshops to keep up with the ever changing trends in the floral industry. As an instructor for Trim Int'l she has continued to win design competitions. 2009 she was named "Colorado Florist of the Year" by the Floral Association of the Rockies (FAR). 2009 she was named the first "Iron Fist Florist". She has taken 2nd and 3rd in too many competitions to mention over the last 20+ years.
